Rob-

It never really was a huge rush. But, I will say that I would love to have my 14ers behind me as I would like to work toward some other goals. As it is, this goal has consumed most of my springs since 2006. Weather shut us down on Pyramid yesterday. Road was still not open, but a Forest Service guy we saw opening the gate on Tuesday said it would be open this weekend. Call Pitkin County Engineer, 970-920-5206
Aspen Ranger District, 970-925-3445.

Just wondering if they have dropped the gate at the end of the road yet, or if a bike ride is still the order of the day. Good luck getting the last few done — maybe there is less of a rush now?

I’m a 50-something out-of-shape wanderer who can now only dream of Chicago Basin. I’ve been there 7 times – but in my 20s – and climbed Windom in the summer. Not only am I impressed at your upwards hikes/climbs, I am thrilled as I ski back down through your photos. Thanks for sharing this feat with the public.
