I guess I’m picking lines that are aesthetic and interesting to me, you know? Which tend to be steeper, longer, and hopefully off the beaten path at times. Skiing the 14ers got so popular, so quick, and it seems like everyone does almost the exact same thing when so many of these peaks have great routes all over the place. I was as guilty as anyone. I’d just like to see someone really up the ante in terms of style vs. just skiing them all ASAP (something I was guilty of). Seems like the next step…

Good call adding some ‘D’ ratings for the routes I’m selecting, just for fun.

Fun little brain exercise to play while jonesing in the fall, at any rate 🙂

Plus mine aren’t the same as they used to be. I’ve lost my comfort level on some of that stuff and you know how I feel about hitting rocks 😉 .

I like what you’re doing here, but I’m personally very limited in the 14ers I’ve skied and therefore contributions I can make.

Didn’t Lou have a scale for defining descents – technical, exposures…? Is it worth rating your lines? – or one route vs. another?

Thanks Frank. Keep it up.
