Keith, it’s funny that you mention that, because Frank and I both commented about how “naked” we felt when we began hiking. Such a strange feeling to not be hauling around skis, boots, avy gear, and all kinds of other things on your back 🙂 I kind of wanted to put rocks in my pack just so it didn’t feel so weird 😉

I have to laugh though, as I get offers to “hike” often in summer, and feel naked if it’s not involving other hardware. Can I at least strap some random sporting gear to my back so I feel like I’m on a normal mission? Or worst case, throw a bunch of huge rocks in a pack?
