I always had trouble with Dynafit bindings prereleasing, even set at 12- and I only weigh 130! That was with 3 different pairs of boots, including a Dynafit model. Others have had trouble with prerelease in similar icy conditions, the lack of elasticity or return to center in the Dynafit system has, for me, always been a problem. Then again, lots of skiers love them.

It’s always interesting to read your trip reports. I’m curious about your comment about your dynafit bindings and prerelease. Which bindings are you referring to? Is it simply that they can’t support a high enough din setting, or is there some other problem?
