Truly inspirational to read about your recoveries and what all you have accomplished! Congratulations on how far you’ve made it in the face of many odds. Fellow ACLR here too. I tore it while backcountry skiing and was actually alone when it happened, heading back to the car on my own. A rather epic ordeal getting out on a leg that didn’t work. My fist year of recovery was terribly rough with pain derailing everything for months on end. Now I’m 3 years in, haven’t skied in well over 1100 days, but one day I will. Pain is my limiting factor. I keep working for it. It’s really encouraging to see how you got back after 3 tears and breaking your neck and more too! Thank you for putting it out there for others to read.

Thanks Dan! Skiing is always better than NOT skiing, that’s my motto 🙂

I hear yea on groomers being fun. I dream of great peak skiing in spring, but honestly everything from full-speed ripping down groomers (in the absence of traffic) to casual cruising is fun and wholly worthwhile. Reading this was an uplifting moment in my day. Cheers! -Dan in CA
